Target selection 60 seconds on site

Post by mehadihasan123456 »

Before we started working with the client, he received 3-5 calls a month from potential clients, some of whom came to the showroom. It is difficult to evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion with such a number of leads. For example, instead of five calls there will be seven: does this mean that we did a good job or not? Obviously, this is not the way to evaluate, minor changes can be just a coincidence. Therefore, we decided to focus on intermediate goals and chose the “60 seconds” indicator.

IT-Agency has a plugin called "60 seconds". It counts user activity in a 10-second interval. A user comes to the site, the plugin starts the counter. If the user does something on the site, for example, goes through pages, clicks part time data on pictures, the plugin adds ten seconds to the total time. If the user has been on the site for 60 seconds, then we consider the goal achieved.

The usual conversion rate for this goal is 20-50%. This is how many people usually spend at least 60 seconds on the site. We have adopted a standard for ourselves - at least 30%.

It is not possible to track this indicator in Yandex.Metrica or Google Analytics. If a person opened a tab with our site, and only went to it after 10 minutes, made a couple of clicks and closed it after 10 seconds, the regular statistics will record the site viewing time as 10 minutes 10 seconds. But in fact, the user was inactive most of the time.

The second criterion we also paid attention to was the bounce rate. We took it as 50% and below.
