Post by sumonasumonakha.t »

There are different types of Creative Commons Licenses: some give you permission for personal and non-commercial use, others allow personal and commercial use but with attribution of the author's name and link, some do not allow you to alter or retouch anything, etc.

To avoid mistakes and problems, only use images with written permission from the author or with a Creative Common CC0 license. A CC0 license is a public domain license, meaning no rights reserved. You can use it for commercial and personal use, you can alter it or retouch it or copy it without giving any kind of attribution. Then, you can do whatever you want.

It means that you can use the work, but giving credit to its author. It can be abbreviated with BY.
