Audio content and voice search are two increasingly strong trends. In a world where information is increasingly consumed on the go and searches on mobile devices have become common, the ease of “talking to the smartphone” is a great attraction for users.

Always thinking about trends and using them, Facebook seems to have found a way to apply that trend to the network.

The network has increasingly innovated in the format of feed publications: if before it was possible to make a publication only in text, with photos and videos, now it is possible to create backgrounds and publications with specific montages.

The new feature this time is that the network is testing – for now only in India – allowing users to create their own post in audio format, with the possibility of listening to the result before publishing it.

The feature was reported by Abhishek Saxena and retweeted by Matt Navarra , receiving immediate attention.

“We’re always working to help people share and connect with their friends and family on fusion data Facebook in ways that are authentic to them. Audio posts give people a new way to express themselves.”

The new feature has been called “Facebook Voice Clips” and could be an important addition to the network, both for users and brands. We can see 2 interesting points from this update:

It allows users to communicate online more easily and on the go , which can be quite attractive considering the potential of voice searches and audio content, especially among the new generations;
It is a new format for sharing content and creating experiences.
Can you imagine creating a podcast or having the possibility of creating ads in audio format? Could these be possible realities for the web?

What did you think of this new feature? Will we be able to have several conversations happening at the same time on the network?
