Security Tales: Cafe Attack
Vladimir Bezmaly | 05/13/2020
The weather was bad this morning. Rain, wind, thunderstorm... But he still had to go to work. Looking out the window, Johann decided to call a service car, although he tried to do this as rarely as possible. After all, he simply had no other time to walk in the park. But in such weather, a walk would be pure suicide.
Arriving at work, Johann saw a worried Elena. She was always a model of self-control, Johann had never seen her like this.
- Boss, good morning! Can I come in? I have a strange case.
- Oh, of course. Would you like some tea or coffee?
— Do you want it with sugar?
- Yes, please! And, if possible, with cookies. I didn’t finland whatsapp data time to have breakfast today.
- Then I suggest not only cookies, but also sandwiches. In such nasty weather in the morning you really don't want to eat, you'd rather sleep! Sophie, my dear, bring us coffee and sandwiches.
- I'm already bringing it, boss!
- Tell me, Elena. What happened?
— As you probably know, my mother owns a small cafe near the university. Students drop in there from time to time to grab a bite to eat. At my suggestion, she introduced the ability to not only pay with smartphones by scanning a QR code, but also the ability to order/reorder something while already sitting in the cafe. For this, a QR code is glued to each table, you scan it, choose what you want from the menu, and the waiter immediately brings it to your table. It’s convenient, you don’t have to call and wait for the waiter, chase him around unnecessarily, the kitchen receives the order faster and plans the load better. But there is a small “but”. Recently, orders have appeared that no one ordered. Someone randomly orders all sorts of random dishes for random tables. As a result, the kitchen cooks what no one needs, awkward situations with customers arise, the reputation of the establishment suffers...
- Who would refuse your famous coffee! And with cream, too?
