Data protection is more important than ever these days. It seems like hardly a week goes by without a major business or brand announcing a major data breach. In response to growing consumer concerns about how their personal data and digital footprints are stored and used, governments around the world are being forced to adopt more comprehensive data protection laws. This is especially true when it comes to the cloud, as a company can store its data in any number of different geographic locations, no matter where it is located. And if it uses public cloud providers, it may not even know where its data is physically stored. This is where cloud sovereignty becomes much more relevant.
