In 10-15 minutes of browsing a subreddit, you can find a dozen potential content ideas and angles based on the conversations people are having in the community.
By default, Reddit will pre-show you the trending discussions. However, I've found that switching to "Rising" or "Controversial" often gives better results.

Now, it’s time to dive deeper into the threads. Here are the types of discussions I look for:
“How do I do X” type posts.
Lengthy debate.

Another example is how to frame the question. Based on the fact that it has been upvoted 81% of the time and has nearly 20 comments in a smaller subreddit, this tells me that there may be a lot of interest in this topic.
