That's why he won't be accepting orders for the foreseeable future, to prevent his fraud from being discovered. Then this scammer will provide information such as the complete address and other information related to the homestay. Once the payment is received, the scammer will disappear. On the day that guests are scheduled to come and stay, there will be several probabilities that will occur.


1. Homestays don't exist. will take potential customers to a location where employment database there is no homestay. If there is, it will be a house owned by a villager, not a homestay. Or even more sadly, the address given leads to locations such as mosques, temples, cemeteries and so on. 2. The homestay exists but there are already legal guests. Since the customer is dealing with a scammer, the customer is not a legitimate guest. There are also situations where scammers only ask for a deposit payment, while the remaining payment must be paid upon check-in.


In this situation, the scammer has actually failed to convince the guest to make a full payment. So to avoid any results at all, he changes his strategy by only asking for a deposit payment. This deposit payment is around RM50 - RM100. For some people, this amount may not be too burdensome. After all, they already have an allocation for homestay rental purposes. But imagine if he managed to fool at least 20 people? At least he managed to get RM2,000. So, be careful of scammers who use fraudulent techniques such as using fake listings or advertisements.
