Post by tanjimajuha20 »

T2, a Russian mobile operator, has expanded its network coverage in the Rostov region by more than 11,000 square kilometers by participating in a federal program to eliminate digital inequality. The project under a government contract with the Russian Ministry of Digital Development is being implemented by Rostelecom with technological support from T2. Thanks to the program, T2 mobile communications and high-speed Internet have appeared in 204 small settlements in the region.

to eliminate digital inequality azerbaijan whatsapp number databa se (EDI 2.0) was launched in 2021. Its goal is to provide reliable mobile coverage and high-speed 4G Internet to small towns with a population of 100 to 500 people. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media together with Rostelecom. T2 acts as a technology partner and competence center: the operator develops design solutions, plans the network architecture and supplies equipment for its construction.

During the implementation of the UCN 2.0 project, the coverage area of the T2 network in the Rostov region increased by more than 11 thousand square kilometers. The operator carried out work in 39 districts, including Krasnosulinsky, Millerovsky, Matveyevo-Kurgansky, Tarasovsky and others.

In less than four years, mobile communications and 4G Internet T2 appeared in 204 small settlements of the Rostov region. Base stations operating in the 2G/4G cellular network standards were installed in farms, villages, stanitsas and settlements. With the advent of mobile Internet and voice communications, modern telecom services became available to villagers: video calls in messengers, social networks, government services portal services, watching movies and online learning opportunities.

"The availability of high-quality communication services has a significant impact on the growth of people's living standards, including those living in rural areas. That is why participation in the implementation of the program to eliminate digital inequality is one of our key tasks. We are systematically working in this area, helping to provide voice communications and high-speed Internet to more and more villagers. Thanks to the UCN 2.0 project, residents of small and remote villages can freely use all digital services, which not only improves their quality of life, but also contributes to the growth of the level of digitalization in the entire region," said Konstantin Motlyakh, Director of the T2 South Macroregion.

"This year, the federal project to eliminate digital inequality celebrated its 10th anniversary. During this time, as part of the first stage, we covered more than 14 thousand settlements across the country with optical Internet. Now we are implementing the second stage: together with our partner, a subsidiary of T2, we are launching mobile communications in remote villages, where its development is unprofitable for commercial operators. In total, we have already installed about 5 thousand base stations throughout Russia and continue to work. Along with digital communications, optical infrastructure comes to rural areas, as well as modern services and technologies that contribute to the further development of territories," said Rostelecom Vice President in the South Sergey Mordasov.
