There are people in the world who deserve to be famous for what they contribute with their different skills. Oprah, Luis Miguel, Steve Jobs are some people who qualify to be famous for their talent in what they do. Then there are celebrities that for some strange reason the media adores them like: Kim Kardashian, Ashton Kutcher and all those actors of the current series.
The word celebrity is used very loosely these days because there are so many “famous” people out there.
Leaving aside celebrity magazines and other guilty pleasures, we at QuestionPro decided to take an objective look at these celebrities. What marketing strategies can we learn from celebrities like LeBron James and Jennifer Lopez? And how can we, as socially responsible people, implement celebrity marketing strategies in an everyday work environment?
10 Most Used Celebrity Marketing Strategies:
1) Control what is leaked to the press
Let’s face it. Mel Gibson is doing badly right now as his baby’s mother gained all the power with leaked videos and his exclusive interviews with Radaronline are making him a lot of money. Lebron James and his team know very well how to get his fans excited by making a big fuss about his free agent announcement. I was almost crying from boredom with the NBA until all this crazy Lebron rumor came along. Where is he going? Chicago, New York, or staying in Cleveland? More and more information qatar phone number leaking but no one could confirm any story. ESPN PAID King James to televise his announcement! This shows us that he really knows how to run his plays, doesn’t it? David Stern, NBA commissioner, denounced LeBron’s actions, although maybe secretly the commissioner was excited too.
Lesson: If you control the information, you control the story. Simple.

2) Be everywhere
These days, how can anyone miss Kim Kardashian's fantastic smile on every red carpet?
I don't even know why she's famous, but for some reason she's always posing on all the red carpets around the world and she looks damn good. Our friend definitely knows how the medium works and knows how to get herself into all those super-market magazines with a tight outfit that shows off her "assets."
Now, I'm not going to go out in spiked heels and tight pants to make people notice my marketing efforts, I'm going to leave that to celebrities like Kim. Rather, I'm going to look for better job opportunities to promote and do online presentations, blog, comment on other blogs, and associate myself with anything positive related to my company's industry.
Lesson: Go where the action is whether online or in person and get noticed.

3) Put in the time and effort to develop yourself on social media
Do you know any teenage girls who don’t like Justin Bieber? Justin is the new Jonathan Taylor Thomas of our times (I grew up in the 90s with Home Improvement). Even my 14 year old nephew cut his hair like him to attract the ladies. The “Bieber” fever started when this kid posted his singing videos on Youtube and soon Usher and Timberlake wanted to record an album for him. His Youtube videos are #1 and he takes the time to tweet and update his blog regularly, or at least he has his minions who keep him up to date with his audience. This kid has a killer marketing strategy …and he doesn’t sing badly.
Lesson: Spend more time connecting with others through social media and watch your audience grow.
