How will Google make advertisers understand that there are other ways to personalize advertising?
Hanne Tuomisto-Inch: We need to raise awareness. My team is testing these types of technologies with advertisers and getting strong feedback and has also engaged with the entire ecosystem to ensure the right speed and confirm that they understand the changes and challenges that they will face.
There are public and private channels to communicate this, ranging from roundtables to one-to-one conversations, in addition to all the public documentation.
How important is privacy for Google and how has this concept evolved in the company in recent years?
Matt Brittin: From the beginning, user privacy has been at the heart of it. We've always believed in the principles of transparency and control , in the sense of giving users control. They should know how we at Google use the data they provide to us. We now have a Security Engineering Center in Europe, in Munich, where we develop the tools for users.
Europe is closely watching the digital environment and developing regulations such as the GDPR . European rules are leading the way in terms of the responsibility of companies and users. At Google, we are very happy to continue raising awareness and investing in fibre and speed. We have offices in many offices in Europe and Spain, we are a company that tries to align itself with European values.
Hanne Tuomisto-Inch: The idea behind Privacy Sandbox is that it can be combined with other tools to address the future. Investment in first-party cookies will be absolutely necessary and this can be combined with Google's Privacy Sandbox to ensure effective advertising.

What we are doing now is really important for the technology sector. We turkey number data have taken the first steps in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. What we have already done and what we need to work on is:
Protect the authority of websites , i.e. official government, media and NGO websites, so that they can deal with attacks when they occur.
Providing citizens with accurate information to combat disinformation. Identifying and removing false information (90,000 videos from 7,000 YouTube channels, for example) is very important to us. Our priority is to protect users . One example is the program developed in Ukraine, which blocked false information. Gmail also blocks millions of attacks every day. There are many things we do every day that are not seen (stopping spam, malware). Security is the basis of privacy and control.
What is Google's position on the EU fine imposed on the company due to restrictions imposed on Android manufacturers?
This has to do with Android and the competition. Android had required us to make some changes and we did, but we went further and introduced some options , for example, to change the screen. Android is an open system and its technology is available to millions of people.
We believe that it increases competition, all manufacturers can use it, it is widely used among devices and it is the most popular system . That is why we wanted to challenge Android, but with respect.
