Among the ruins of ancient Ephesus stands the facade of one of the largest repositories of ancient art and knowledge, which was the Library of Celsus in its time.

The height of the facade of the Celsus Library is 16 meters, and its length is 21 meters. The style of the library facade is reminiscent of ancient Greek and indicates a strong influence on Roman architecture. The niches on the first floor contain plaster copies of marble statues of Wisdom, Virtue, Thought and Knowledge. The originals are kept in the Ephesus Museum in Vienna.
