Cheap website = high cost!

Reading the two statements it seems like an oxymoron, something unnatural, an unreal situation that in fact is almost always like that.

We all want to spend less, and rightly so. Even to advertise whatsapp number list ourselves, if possible, we would like to invest little money through a nice cheap website.

But why does spending little cost us more? Let's find out by starting to understand what a cheap website is.

Investing over time creates value

What is a cheap website
An inexpensive website is a product that costs us little.

Since a good part of the cost depends on the professional preparation of the professional/agency and the time spent on conceiving, developing and testing it, the final price depends a lot on the time spent on its creation.

Saving a lot therefore means having our sales tool conceived and created in a short time without it being able to be designed specifically for our typical customer.

So why does it cost us a lot if we pay little?

John Ruskin (1819-1900) said:

“It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money, and that is all.

But if you pay too little you risk losing everything, because the thing you bought may not be up to your needs.

The law of equilibrium in exchange does not allow one to pay little and receive much; it is an absurdity.

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it will be prudent to add something for the risk you run; but if you do this you will have enough to buy something better.”

And we are equally sure that doing something better than others , that creates an impact on the visitor that cannot be ignored, whatever the sector or niche you occupy, becomes our goal to leave a mark in the mind of the potential customer.

And according to the law of equilibrium mentioned above, it is not possible to pay a little and receive a lot. And if we have to pay something more, we might as well go straight for something better.

And if I don't get much, I don't get quality, I don't differentiate myself and I don't create interest in the visitor.

Our goal should instead be to prepare customers in their choice and help them purchase our products or services.

We need to create a virtuous path that helps him understand that we are the right answer to his problem and that with us he will reach his goal.

Create advanced website marketing
To create good advertising, you cannot think of a cheap website because to acquire customers you need to use advanced marketing developed through specific texts according to a precise scheme that can leverage the interest and desire of your potential customer.

Investing in Website MarketingThe strategy is to create an organic synthesis between graphics, texts and positioning that can create a desire to purchase or contact us in our visitor.

All this is complex because it requires time, training and specific experience on the part of the professional who develops the website.

It may seem counterintuitive but the creation of texts should never be entrusted to the entrepreneur because he does something completely different in life and may not have the necessary knowledge to create effective messages.

The risk, in an economic website, would therefore be to simply limit oneself to inserting “company information” that does anything but create a feeling with the visitor.

Whoever develops the website must have the eyes of the customer
If you have to explain your work to a child, you know very well that you have to do it using words and concepts that the child can understand, explaining the different steps so that he can create a clear image in his head of what you do.

Your goal becomes to increase the child's attention and to put him at ease by speaking to him in a language that is familiar to him.

And this is what must be done in communication, considering that every potential customer interested in what you sell may not immediately have all the knowledge necessary to make the choice.

He therefore needs to know your work, your approach and your professionalism well before deciding to rely on you.

And to do that, above all you have to create empathy , interest and trust.

So the best way to explain what you do is to take off your entrepreneur's shoes and put yourself in the shoes of a potential customer who wants to learn more about your offer but doesn't yet have all the knowledge and confidence he needs to decide whether to buy from you.

At this point, the texts turn out to be a key element and must be developed not with the eyes and thoughts of the entrepreneur but by someone who can identify with the thoughts of those who have to buy.

This is why, in my opinion, the texts cannot be developed by the entrepreneur but must be created, after a technical briefing, by a specialized professional.

Developing effective texts requires, in addition to copywriting skills, a lot of time and this is the main reason why they can never be created on a budget.

Conclusions
Given that a website can be a great source of sales, why are there still entrepreneurs who prefer to opt for developing a cheap website?

Probably because:

They don't believe in the sales potential of the website, but they ask for it because "everyone has one now";
They think that they are all the same so if they spend a little they get a deal.
They don't have a budget to invest
Unfortunately, in the first two cases, you end up making the wrong choice.

Wrong because it loses a large pool of users who could be interested in our offer but who probably don't find us, or, wrong because even if they find us, they don't really get carried away by our offer and therefore choose something else.

For the third point, I take up a famous phrase by Steve Jobs (co-founder of Apple):

“Investing in marketing in times of crisis is like building wings while others are falling”

Probably more resources should be devoted to finding new customers, who can bring new revenue , rather than anything else.

But these are very personal considerations that depend on the sensitivity of the entrepreneur himself.

Final test
Try this out right away by doing a test: evaluate first-hand the effectiveness of a web page developed according to the principles described above to immediately understand if graphics, texts and development are really better and if, when reading, they make you want to acquire more information.

By clicking here you will find the specific page dedicated to our premium websites , more expensive but much more effective than a cheap website.

After viewing the page, if you are interested in contacting me, it means that you will have had proof that a professionally developed website works much better than a cheap one.
