Women's visibility in the media has increased, but is still far from ideal
Communication alone cannot solve all the obstacles faced by women seeking to become entrepreneurs. However, achieving greater visibility in strategic market sectors is an important step towards gender equality.

Think about it: how many women are interviewed on TV shows or are the main source of news when the topic is not about the female universe?

A recent study by the Global Media Monitoring Project , for example, showed that the proportion of female sources and characters in the media jumped from 1% to 25% in the last 5 years . For the report, 30,172 reports published in September 2020 in more than 100 countries, including Brazil, were analyzed.

The same research shows that, despite growth in recent years, there is still a long way to go. If the trend recorded in the report continues, it will take another 67 years for female representation in the media to be balanced.
