Javier Esteban is synonymous with events. The Internet allowed him to reinvent himself and, in his quest to organize events and connect people (his two passions), he has been the founder/organizer/collaborator/director/speaker/producer of more than 50 entrepreneurship, internet and social media events.

Javier currently works for Futura Networks/Campus Party , “ the world’s most important Internet event in the areas of innovation, creativity, science and digital entertainment.” There, he outlook email list heads campuse.ro , an innovation platform that allows direct interaction between creatives and all kinds of companies and organizations seeking to find solutions to their problems. In this interview for the Experts section , we spoke with Javier about events, social media and content marketing:

—Today we can say that you are synonymous with quality events. Would you define yourself the same way? Which project are you most proud of?
Rather than quality events, I would define myself as one of “hard-working events.” In all the events I have organized or produced on behalf of others, what we have always wanted is for the work to be well done, and that is achieved with a good team and a lot of work.

I have been organizing all kinds of events for 6 years, and perhaps the last big event was the one that gave the most satisfaction to the entire team. In June 2013 we were hired to produce the II Gamification World Congress , in Madrid, at the Callao Cinemas.



—With E-ven Top you have managed to unify all your experience. How do you differentiate yourself from the competition?
After 5 years on my own, building my personal brand in the world of events, I decided it was time to turn it into a company to reach a more general audience. We tried for 2 years to revolutionize the traditional concept of online PR with the integration of social networks and new technologies .

Since January this year I have been fully focused on Campus Party , the largest event of technology, creativity and digital entertainment in the world. I have left my personal path to join the event that I have always taken as a reference in my work and with which I have been collaborating since 2010.
