Custom Audiences are broadly defined as remarketing, meaning reaching people who have already had contact with your brand. These can be people who:
engage with your posts on Facebook or Instagram,
joined your email database.
To upload such an email database, at the level of creating a custom recipient group, you should select the option that is called "customer list" for the sake of misunderstanding. You can enter a number of parameters regarding your target group, but we are of course interested in the possibility of introducing an email database.
And at this stage a number of questions or issues arise that are worth considering.
EMAIL MARKETING AND YOUR EMAIL DATABASE – CHECK IF YOU ARE MAKING THESE MISTAKES
The first issue is the question of what kind of email address we can import. And it turns middle east rcs data out that these can only be private addresses.
Why?
Because Facebook's advertising system verifies that a person has connected their Facebook account to their email address. In simpler terms, it checks that they have created an account and logged into the app from the address that we are currently uploading.
The catch is that the above methodology won't be useful for people who want to reach the email database of B2B decision-makers. It's unlikely that someone will set up a private Facebook account from a work email address. The situation is different on LinkedIn, but that's a topic for another time.
Our database should therefore consist of private addresses. This can of course be the aforementioned customer list, i.e. people who have bought something from us (for example in an online store), but it can also be other types of databases, such as people who:
Were on your website
