Anton Ten, Head of Corporate Sales at CommuniGate Systems, believes that the requirements set out in the regulatory legal acts are absolutely necessary if we are to move towards technological independence. "But it often happens that individual software is included in the register, but works either on foreign databases or on operating systems exclusively from foreign vendors. Here's an example: organizations, including government agencies and critical information infrastructure (CII), that are ready to switch to Russian operating systems, are faced with the fact that some domestic software from the register, chile cell phone number list which these companies are already using, does not work on Russian operating systems. Often, this is specialized, profile software and does not work on anything except Windows. Therefore, the requirements are quite reasonable. Requirements concerning central processors can be suspended rather than excluded. In Russia, there are certain difficulties with the production of Russian processors included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; introducing strict limits here is not yet advisable. The requirement for technical support is quite fair. In general, without high-quality service, no product, even the best one, can be in demand. Software, especially for critical information infrastructure (CII) facilities, must be operational for the maximum amount of time without downtime. The manufacturer may not have 24/7 technical support by phone, email or chat in every time zone in Russia, but it is obliged to provide it to the user. For example, we, as a vendor, organized technical support for the CommuniGate Pro platform through a developed partner network and system integrators," said Anton Ten.
. "Because the product must develop, including taking into account the requirements of the regulator, along the development path that the state has chosen to ensure technological independence. If the product does not comply, then it must strive for this - in general, the state has allocated enough time for this, the register of domestic software was created in 2015. The amount of money for "tweaking" depends solely on the software. Some software can be easily ported to another operating system, another hardware platform. On the other hand, there is software for information security, which "bites" very deeply into the OS and hardware. This is important, for example, for trusted boot tools. The costs of "tweaking" such solutions can be compared with developing a virtually new product from scratch. The algorithms remain, but they need to be adapted for the new platform, and this is extremely expensive," commented Anton Ten.
He believes that the new document will not limit competition
