Nothing complicated
Leading analyst at Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin noted that onboard entertainment systems are a relatively simple software product that companies can implement without any particular problems. "Investments in them are recouped by the fact that Aeroflot, as the recipient of such systems in one form or another, will pay for their use, depending on how this model works. But in any case, it cannot be said that there is a problem with this product - the task is absolutely feasible," Eldar Murtazin noted.
The analyst believes that czech republic whatsapp resource flight information processing and aircraft airworthiness maintenance systems can also be created without problems, since they are databases.
"I don't know what kind of system they are creating, its complexity may vary. But essentially, these are databases, working with them is not something extraordinary. And I think that all this is within the capabilities of these companies, they will be able to cope with this. Although, the cost of investment depends very much on the technical task," Eldar Murtazin emphasized.
Nikita Tsaplin, CEO of the RUVDS hosting provider, noted that the software products described in the agreement will require the creation of an entire narrowly focused ecosystem. "It will include not only software solutions, but will also likely impose some security and hardware requirements. Aviation is an area that requires increased security, and I am sure that the hardware requirements will fully reflect this approach," Nikita Tsaplin noted.
According to him, it is possible that the existing experience of other industries providing transport services may be useful in developing onboard entertainment systems. "For example, Russian Railways has been providing passengers with an autonomous entertainment system called "Fellow Traveler" since 2017. The service allows you to watch movies, information about the trip, and also order food and drinks from the dining car without connecting to the Internet. The system assumes the presence of a server on each train, which ensures data storage and the functioning of the service. I believe that some analogue of this service will be developed for Aeroflot," added Nikita Tsaplin.
Digitalization first
The head of the Telegram channel "Air Traffic Dispatcher" Daniil Kyrov believes that digitalization of such an area as technical maintenance of airworthiness of aircraft will lead to progress in all processes in aviation, from synchronizing the work of aircraft manufacturers and operators to satisfying the needs of passengers, be it an on-board entertainment system, a ticket booking system or a baggage tracking system.
"The Aeroflot-Yakovlev agreement is the beginning of joint work between aircraft manufacturers and operators. This is how it should be. The departure of Western companies, the replacement of their technologies with domestic ones is an inevitable and, in a sense, healthy process. And this is only the beginning of the journey. Further, life will present new challenges and require us to develop new solutions. Certainly, many of them will be solved thanks to information technologies, which will be implemented through the kind of cooperation that we expect between Aeroflot and Yakovlev," concluded Daniil Kyrov.
