The licensing process involving many government agencies and various regulations can take a lot of time, effort, and money. Not infrequently, this also has the potential to cause illegal levies that are detrimental to business actors.

Various types of business permits such as Micro, Small, and Medium Business Permits (IUMK), Building Construction Permits (IMB), Environmental Permits, and various other permits, often have to be processed separately and through different processes in various related agencies. This not only slows down the business process, but also increases the risk of legal uncertainty for business actors.

In addition, the differences in procedures and time required by each government agency in issuing permits are also significant obstacles.

Slow and complicated licensing processes can also hamper business growth, especially for small and medium enterprises that do not have sufficient resources to deal with complicated bureaucracy. As a result, many business actors are forced to experience delays in starting or developing their businesses, some even end up choosing to do business illegally to avoid difficult bureaucracy.
