American advertisers are increasingly concerned about fake news circulating on the internet. As a result, measures are being taken to prevent their programmatic advertising from appearing on certain websites.

The Californian company Bright Roll conducted a survey in April this year. Its aim was to analyse which decisions are best suited to combat this problem.

The results revealed that more than half of the solutions (55%) consisted of putting pressure on their programmatic advertising partners. However, advertisers believe there are other options to keep their advertising safe.

41% of the decisions were to try to be more careful when choosing their targets on the web. On the other hand, 35% of the solutions were to create lists of people who are considered trustworthy.

However, the option that most convinces advertisers is the one australia phone number that seems to be the least implemented. According to Bright Roll, 27% of decisions were based on considering changing their sales from open to private markets as an alternative .

The private market requires more resources. But it seems to be worth it. This is because advertisers ensure that their ads appear in high-quality publications .

It has been speculated that in 2019, the amount of spending generated by digital ads in these types of markets will reach 9.23 billion dollars. This figure is not far from the amount expected to be spent in open exchange markets: 9.61 billion dollars.

Although it is not yet known whether these measures will be implemented, the Bright Roll survey has revealed other equally interesting data. According to its study, almost a third of advertisers say they would reduce their spending with their partners if their inventory included publications that are associated with fake news.
