The growth of digital advertising

Post by pappu636 »

In a study conducted by the consulting firm Magna Global in 2016, events such as the United States elections, the Copa América Centenario, the Euro Cup and the Olympic Games will help digital advertising grow by 14.8 percent.

The four events mentioned above are events that have a worldwide reception and are large-scale events with excellent propagation, and that will help the growth of investment in digital marketing which we see in web pages for computers, web pages designed for mobile devices (tablets and smartphones), applications for mobile devices, advertising on social networks, native video, among others.

According to a study by the consulting firm Magna Global, in 2015 advertisers invested 149 billion euros in digital advertising.

Magna Global estimates that digital advertising will grow by 14.8% this year. If the forecast is met, this means that investment in digital advertising in 2016 will be €170 billion, which would be €21 million more than the previous year.

Digital advertising vs traditional media
Although advertising in traditional media such as radio, television and newspapers still account for a large percentage of advertising, this does not mean that digital advertising is not important; it currently accounts for 36% of the advertising budget and according to the study carried out by the Magna Global company, the growth that digital advertising will have year after year will be gradual.

The same study shows that mobile advertising will grow faster than lebanon phone number traditional advertising. According to the study's calculations, mobile advertising revenue will increase by 42% during 2016.

It is no secret that the adoption and implementation of new technologies is becoming increasingly faster. Nowadays, people prefer to watch movies, series and videos from their computer through mobile applications rather than watching TV. The same thing happens when it comes to getting information about world events. People leave newspapers aside and prefer to get information on the Internet, either on Twitter or on the website of a local newspaper.

This is why digital advertising is becoming increasingly popular, because when people want to find out about a brand or product, they no longer do so by visiting a physical store, but rather through their mobile devices or computers.

Traditional media should certainly think about redesigning themselves if they want to continue receiving income through advertising. Newspapers could investigate more about new flexible screens, so that in the not too distant future we will no longer need to buy a paper newspaper but would have an electronic newspaper, and they would also help reduce the felling of trees.
