Structure through temporal and hierarchical breakdown

Objectives are defined for the coming year. Based on this, the focus is placed on the objectives and key results on a quarterly basis. OKR can be broken down hierarchically and can be defined at the level of the entire company based on the corporate strategy.
The contribution to goal achievement can be defined by each area or department with key results and objectives. The process can be continued down to the individual employees. While the how is the responsibility of the respective employees, teams and areas, the what is defined across the board.
Intrinsic motivation is promoted by defining the what; the how is not predetermined.
Personal development

We didn't want to introduce a new tool and decided on a plugin for Jira (UpRaise) because we are not yet completely satisfied with the tooling. However, our needs are only partially covered by this, and we are happy to hear about positive experiences with an OKR tool.
