The theorist is the opposite of the practitioner. He usually has extensive knowledge that he has acquired theoretically and knows what happens in an ideal situation. He is usually very open to new insights, but only from theory. He can contribute a lot and provide exciting approaches and solutions. He also focuses on abstract thinking and innovations.

Disadvantages of the theorist
Although the theorist's great advantage lies in his knowledge, this is also where telecommunications email list his greatest weakness lies. There is a lot of knowledge available, but there is a lack of implementation of this knowledge. A practical example would be a mechanics student who calculates the penetration moment of a nail but is unable to hammer it into a wall.

The Theorist in Leadership
In leadership, the theoretician is often armed with concepts. But leadership cannot be learned from a book - although strategies and guidelines are very helpful for beginners.

I often notice that theorists lack a connection to other teams. The focus is on implementing the work according to the literature, but far too little on feedback from customers and practice (from other teams). Theorists like to isolate themselves and their team and create their own world in an ivory tower.
