In 2021, the number of emails sent was higher than ever before. At the same time, the number of short messages sent via services such as WhatsApp or Messenger, but also via communication platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, is increasing. Google Meet, Zoom and Skype are more part of everyday working life than ever before, but at the same time the number of meetings in the office is not decreasing, despite more time spent working from home. This makes it difficult to keep track of everything. Not only for those responsible in the company, but also for individual employees. Tasks are often assigned quickly and seemingly easily by email or phone calls, and responsibilities are defined via WhatsApp. All of this means that work in teams and companies is often chaotic. The solution to this problem is called "work management".

Work management is not the same as project and process management

In process management, the recurring tasks of a process must be coordinated and organized. However, it encompasses all work and tasks that arise in a company. So project and process management, but also all other tasks, such as resource management, business intelligence and CRM.
