Actionpay: What is the story behind CouponTerra, how did it come about and how does it work?
Beatriz Sadjak: The interesting thing is that CouponTerra came about during the economic crisis in Brazil. That's when we saw the need to create a coupon website that would help consumers save money on online purchases and that would be a free marketplace. In 2016, we saw a 10-fold increase in the search for discount coupons compared to 2015, and this motivated us to create an easy-to-navigate website, available in desktop and mobile versions, that offers offers and coupons from top advertisers around the world.
AP: What sets CouponTerra apart from other discount coupon sites?
BS: What sets us apart from other coupon sites are the features we offer, including – access to the best deals or favorite brands via our weekly newsletter, promotions and coupons on social media such as Facebook and Twitter, a blog page with informative content, and sponsored sweepstakes for exclusive advertisers. Our goal is to offer the best coupons and deals to Brazilian consumers, as well as to offer advertisers advertising channels that other coupon sites do not offer, and that is why we are able to differentiate ourselves in this market.
AP: How would you describe the beginning of our partnership and what are the advantages?
BS: The partnership began in early 2017, motivated by our admiration for Actionpay's list of iran cell phone numbers work. I've been in the affiliation area for a few years, so I was already familiar with Actionpay's work. So when the opportunity for the partnership arose, I didn't think twice. We partner with advertisers in a variety of segments, including health and beauty, fashion, sports, home and garden, automotive, travel, food and beverage, and many others. Some of our top advertisers are Centauro, Amazon, Oakley, Shoptime, Casas Bahia, Americanas, Submarino, MaquiADORO, Pontofrio, Natura, and many more.
AP: Do you also operate in the mobile segment?
BS: Yes. We have a version of our website specifically for mobile.
AP: How do you identify and what percentage of users are desktop/mobile?
BS: We identify this through Google Analytics, which allows us to see the number of visits on each platform (desktop, mobile and tablet). The growth in visits via mobile has been growing significantly and has already surpassed the number of visits via desktop, with 58% of monthly visits being via mobile and 42% via desktop.
AP: What is the growth forecast for couponterra in the coming years?
And how can we at Actionpay contribute to this growth?
BS: In the last 3 years, Brazilian consumers' search for discount coupons has grown by 130%, making Brazil the 1st country in the ranking of Latin American countries that most search for coupons. That is why we believe that the market will continue to grow, with a significant increase in consumers searching for discount coupon websites. Of course, to maintain quality content on the website and to continue to stand out in such a competitive industry, we need highly skilled collaborators who provide materials and partnerships that add value to our website.
