The second step is about consistency

Post by roseline371274 »

I'm new to YouTube, what should I do?

The first step would be to create a posting schedule.

In the beginning, we advise you to post often: 3-4 times a week. In this way, you create a critical mass or content base, which is very important for initially attracting followers. For example, a viewer is enthralled by a video and goes to your channel in search of similar content. If you currently only offer him that one video, he automatically leaves the channel and possibly special lead rewards you with one like. If it finds more clips (bases) on the channel, you are more likely to convert the viewer into a follower.

Later you can publish less often - 1-2 per week (be careful not to oversaturate the audience). The schedule will be influenced by numerous factors: topic, length of the video, demand... Over time, you will judge for yourself what schedule suits you and your audience best. In addition to the quantity, pay attention to the time of publication. Determine which days and at what time fresh content from your channel would be best for your followers.

If you make a schedule of posts - stick to the schedule. Sure, you may occasionally throw in an extra video or miss a post, but try to build a routine with your followers. If you post new content for a couple of days in a row, then you're MIA indefinitely - your followers don't know what to expect from you.

Be consistent about the topic you are dealing with or the niche you are targeting. A sudden change of topic on a channel that has already taken off, represents a huge risk.

Step three: useful information

People mostly visit YouTube for entertainment or information. If the channel is of an entertainment nature, it is a little more difficult to keep the viewers' attention. What yesterday brought hundreds of thousands of views, today has already fallen into oblivion. However, news channels can more easily hold viewers' attention, and the content remains relevant for a longer period. From information channels, followers are looking for "meat" - specific knowledge, information, advice, examples, ideas - all finely packaged in up to 10 minutes of video material. Such work can sometimes be exhausting, but the reward in the form of new followers and positive reactions is rarely absent.
