The practical step-by-step process you must follow consists of the following stages:

Meta for Developers is Meta’s tool for carrying out integrations and that offers different development utilities within Facebook. Here, you will need to register with the Facebook account from which you want to manage the chatbot. Then, click on the option that allows you to create a new application and in the “Add a product” section, you will select Messenger.

Create your key
You need a key or token to enable the chatbot. This is generated through the app you created in the previous step, which must be linked to a Facebook page from which indian whatsapp leads you will offer your chatbot. Therefore, make sure to create it first if you don't have one yet.

Next, go to the “Access Token” section and link the page to the app. Click on generate token.

Get the route
Your chatbot was already created on a platform of your choice. All of them have an “integrations” section, which is where you will find the integration of the chatbot with Facebook Messenger.

Copy the generated token in Meta for Developers, go to your chatbot platform's Facebook Messenger integration, paste the key and create an easy-to-remember passphrase.

This will generate your chatbot's route. Copy that route and the secret phrase and go back to Meta for Developers. Go to the Webhooks section and navigate to the configuration option. There, a pop-up window will appear where you can enter the route and phrase. Verify and save.

Finally, go to where it gives you the option to add a subscription and check the boxes next to “messages”, “messaging_postbacks”, “message_deliveries” and “messaging_pre_checkouts”.
