Reach metrics: your audience and potential audience

Message Topics Set: Percentage of messages in each social network during the period, broken down by content topic (e.g. resources, special offers, blog posts, etc.)

Post Type Mix: The percentage of posts on each social network during the period, broken down by type (e.g. image, link, video, text, poll, etc.).

These are metrics that focus on your audience, the size and growth rate of your potential audience, and how often and how well your posts reach that audience. Many social media management tools (like Buffer) provide this type of metric.

Audience growth rate: The rate at which a brand adds (or loses) audience members across each channel, determined by dividing new audience members by the total number of audience members.

Average Position: The average position in which a brand's ad appeared on a search engine results page (the top position on the page is 1).

Brand Awareness: The total number of times your brand was mentioned online during a period.

CPM: Cost per thousand impressions in paid advertising.

Fans/Followers: The total number of people on your social networks during the period.

Influence Score: Influence scores offered by providers like Klout and Kred measure how influential a person or brand is on a particular social channel.

Keyword frequency: The number of times a particular keyword or phrase appears in a brand's social media feed.

Post reach: The estimated number of people who will see a particular piece of your content at least once during a given time period.

Potential Impressions: The number of times a piece of content can be displayed, regardless of whether it is interacted with, within a given time period.
