A sensible and forward-looking decision

For years, politicians have only been concerned with protecting the SRG - the concerns of the few remaining private media companies were ignored. Now parliamentarians have the opportunity to strengthen the newspaper industry through indirect press funding - for the benefit of democracy and federalism.

The companies must use the income from these newspapers, which are valued by readers, to finance the development and construction of the online platforms.
