Ronald Egas is to become the new CEO of MyHammer, Germany's leading tradesmen portal. Claudia Frese, board member of the MyHammer Group since 2014 and CEO of MyHammer Holding AG and MyHammer AG since 2015, will leave the company at her own request to take on new challenges. Egas, CEO of the Dutch sister company Werkspot since 2012, is expected to take over the position from mid-August 2020.
"Through MyHammer's affiliation with ANGI Homeservices, we are fortunate to have broad management experience within a European group of companies. We are very pleased that Ronald Egas has agreed to take on the role of CEO at MyHammer. In this way, we can ensure a seamless transition and continue the successful development of MyHammer," said Jochen Gutbrod, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Ronald Egas has been CEO of Werkspot, the leading australia gambling data marketplace for craft services in the Netherlands, since 2012. Werkspot, like MyHammer, is part of the ANGI Homeservices Group.
"Claudia Frese has led MyHammer to great success. As an experienced business strategist, she initiated a repositioning of the brand. The design was made more user-friendly and modern, smartphone apps and teams for customer service and sales were established. Under her leadership, MyHammer was able to develop into Germany's No. 1 tradesmen portal. The company has been consistently profitable since 2015 and is growing by double digits every year. Accordingly, the number of employees has doubled from 60 to 120," continues Jochen Gutbrod.
"We would like to thank Claudia Frese very much for this and see her departure with mixed feelings. We are losing a top executive and at the same time gaining an outstanding new CEO who has both broad management experience and a deep understanding of the very specific dynamics in our market," said Gutbrod.
