It has recently become possible to run target group campaigns on Microsoft Advertising using the Microsoft Audience Network. What is this and what opportunities does it offer?

retrospective
Let's remember: Since the end of last year, we have had the opportunity to place advertisements in the Microsoft Audience Network (MSAN for short). These are initially so-called target group ads , which can be used as an extension in existing campaigns .

The target group ads in MSAN are displayed on Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Edge, MSN and other premium platforms. More detailed information about MSAN can be found in this article and initial insights into the performance of the target group ads can be found here .

What Google calls Display Campaign and Google Display azerbaijan phone number data Network (GDN) has now also reached Microsoft in a similar form: With the target group campaigns in the Microsoft Audience Network (MSAN), Microsoft is now taking a step further towards personalized advertising and native ads.

But why is this advertising format called a “target group campaign”? It's simple: this form of advertising is based on target group marketing . The ads can be tailored to individual people . This is different from search engine marketing, where the ad placement is based on the storage of selected keywords.

alignment
Advertisers now have the opportunity to target users more specifically and personally with audience campaigns using various targeting options .

The following target criteria can be combined with each other and/or aligned within the campaign:

Location,
Age,
Device,
Gender,
Company, industry, job function and/or
target groups.
The targeting of the company, industry and job function is based on the data that users have provided in their LinkedIn profiles . The target groups use self-created remarketing lists or the target groups specified by Microsoft (e.g. target groups in the market).
