Symphonic (Sym): What is ONE thing you would like everyone to know about Pereira?
The Samu (TS): Well, about Pereira I would love for everyone to talk about the amount of music, because it is not only urban, but the diversity of sounds, textures, colors that there is in the music in Pereira. Urban music, popular music, music that brings folklore, the mix with electronics and rock that there is here in Pereira seems to me to be something charming, very diverse. And you have to either come and get to know it here or listen and look for more about everything that Pereira can offer you musically.
Sym: How has having your own label helped you in your musical career?
TS: Well, it has helped me a lot in the area that it is a more professional job. Because having a label there is a work team in which each one does different things, the designers, the audiovisuals, the legal part… Various factors that serve to give a more important boost to the musical project. Not only to The Samu's career, but what we indian mobile number do for other artists. How we advise them, how we help them take their musical project to another level, how they can have things legally organized and all these things that make a job more professional and more appropriate.
Sym: What advice would you give to artists who are just starting out?
TS: The advice I give them is first of all, even though it sounds very cliché, discipline. That is the main factor not only in music but in life, without discipline there is nothing. Secondly, a piece of advice I can give them is to optimize resources. Worry about having a good sound, about having a good image, and about using every bit of money they have, no matter how small, in a very professional and appropriate way. It is not about throwing money away or investing it in whatever they think might be useful, but rather being very strategic, for that, having a work team that guides them to do things in a very organized and analytical way above all.
Sym: What does it take to succeed in urban music today?
TS: Well, more than succeeding in urban music, you have to have a lot of discipline and love what you do. If you don't feel passion and don't love what you do, you will never achieve anything. You have to like every lyric, every sound you transmit, analyze things and see if people like them, but above all do things with love. That's the key to everything in life.
