The nature of feedback must change

Post by sumaiyakhatun26 »

Employees therefore want comprehensive feedback from all sides. Especially in times of flat hierarchies and collaborative projects, it can be quite difficult to provide employees with satisfactory feedback. However, it is extremely important to receive feedback from all directions, especially in order to learn from potential mistakes and avoid repeating them, which can lead to appropriate improvements in the future.

What is a 360-degree assessment?
In a 360-degree assessment, an employee is not assessed or evaluated by just one ig database person, but by as many employees as possible. It's best if the employees in question also collaborate with each other to adequately assess their colleague's work style. This assessment isn't just about actual performance and abilities in the workplace, but also, for example, communication skills and soft skills. This type of assessment is particularly well-suited for managers and can be conducted, for example, before a performance review to provide valuable input.

The enormous advantage of this form of assessment is that it allows for evaluation "from all angles." Thus, an employee is evaluated not only by superiors, but also by colleagues (from their own department and other departments), external employees, customers, and even suppliers. Self-assessment is always part of the assessment, so that later on, one can accurately assess how the employee perceives themselves and how others perceive them. The 360-degree assessment is therefore particularly excellent for employee personal development.
