According to SRF, PostFinance lets its employees be evaluated by their colleagues. Unions warn of bullying. This system carries the risk of unpleasant colleagues being punished. The company, however, assumes that Powercoins can be used to further motivate employees through instant feedback.
In my consulting work, I have repeatedly france rcs data found that costly feedback processes are not very effective and are even counterproductive if the results of the assessments are pilloried. This supposedly transparent behavior often blocks the desired improvement processes.
When giving feedback, it is important to observe the following proven basic rules:
Feedback is useless if it doesn't lead to improvements. The effort has to be worth it.
The person being judged chooses his or her own “court jester” who holds up the mirror to him or her. Reason: acceptance.
The feedback from internal feedback providers is neither forwarded to superiors nor published within the company.
External assessments are primarily intended to make blind spots conscious so that they can be eliminated. This requires the insight of the person concerned.
